John Hermes is an Honors graduate from the University of Florida’s M.E. Rinker School of Building Construction. This program is the largest of its type in the nation, and is nationally recognized for its high skill level of Building Construction graduates.
As a Partner/Project Manager of The Perry Company, John has specialized in the management of large, highly technical office buildings. John has recently completed the Echelon Pointe office building, a highly innovative and technical 6-story tilt wall office building with an attached parking garage. Prior to that, John completed a new headquarters for the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Tampa field office. This $30,000,000 project consisted of offices, parking deck and vehicle annex areas.
John’s educational training specifically tailored him for a career in the construction industry. This training partnered with a diverse range of construction experience including large scale and technically complex facilities is a strong asset for The Perry Company. His responsibilities include, but are not limited to, project management, estimating, bid solicitation, scheduling, and close-out.
John is a licensed General Contractor is an active member of the University of Florida Alumni Association, the Tampa Gator Club and the University of South Florida Ski Club.
Jerry Perry graduated from the University of South Florida with a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry. He is responsible for The Perry Company’s overall direction, concentrating heavily on the marketing and sales effort. Jerry’s diverse education and experience contribute to his ability to evaluate all aspects of a project from conception to completion.
Jerry served as vice president of a major design/build construction company, prior to starting The Perry Company, where he developed a high level of expertise in conceptual estimating, coordination of complex Design/Build facilities and large-scale site development projects.
Recently, Jerry has negotiated and administered contracts with Echelon LLC, Brighthouse Networks, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the General Services Administration, Alltel Wireless, Highwoods Properties, Raytheon Corporation, Transitions Optical, Digital Lightwave, II-VI Corporation, Walt Disney Attractions, and Draper Laboratories.
Jerry is a licensed Florida Real Estate Broker and General Contractor. He has served on the Board of Directors of the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties, and additionally is a member of the Bay Area Manufacturer’s Association, Real Estate Investment Council, The University of South Florida Alumni Association. He has been involved with the fund raising for the Tampa Museum of Art and is a Coast Guard qualified Captain.
Eric Grzybowski is a graduate from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Building Construction Management, currently the Myers-Lawson School of Construction. The first School of Construction in the nation created to cross traditional boundaries of education and to develop values based construction leaders.
Eric carries a “Class A” General Contractors License and is a LEED Accredited Professional. As a Partner/Project Manager, Eric has specialized in a variety of complex projects for clients ranging from Fortune 500 corporations to small local businesses. His responsibilities include, but are not limited to, preconstruction estimating and scheduling, project management, project closeout, safety coordination and green construction.
Eric is a member of the Real Estate Investment Council, National Association of Industrial Office Properties Developing Leaders, and the Tampa Chapter of the Virginia Tech Alumni Association.
Rob Swezey is a graduate of Radford University with a Bachelor of Science. Rob brings 14 years of local construction experience to The Perry Company. He was trained in the field as a project engineer, project foreman and superintendent. His field experience coupled with project management capabilities adds to a strong base that comprises the project team.
Rob has a wide variety of experience ranging from particulate controlled environments/clean labs to multi-story Class A office buildings and multi-story pre-cast parking structures to tilt wall constructed industrial buildings.
Rob’s responsibilities include preconstruction estimating, project buyout, scheduling, and project coordination through closeout. Rob carries a “Class A” General Contractor’s license.
Rob is a member of the Real Estate Investment Council, Tampa Museum of Art, and the Radford Alumni Association.
